ABC was born in 2005 in Trieste to two parents who made a long surgical journey for their child. Today, it is a well-structured organization that helps all children who have to provide complex care at the Burlo Garofolo mother and children’s hospital in Trieste. The ABC works to make these children and their families feel constantly supported and to find a constant point of reference within the club; and so that “attention” affects every aspect of the child’s journey in his family in full.
ABC welcomes families for free during the hospitalization of their children in five homes in Trieste, offers psychological and emotional support to and from the ward, accompanies families throughout the treatment process and even after the return journey. ABC also supports the Burlo by donating specialized equipment, supporting scientific research and training of operators.
