“The Poerio delegation is the first group I host after the stop due to the pandemic – says Mario Furore MEP – It is an opportunity that I also want to give to other schools and to those young people from the south. It is always a pleasure to meet with the students, to look into the eyes of the future of our territory and of Europe. In their words, it is dreams, hopes and aspirations that deserve the attention and commitment of the institutions. It is up to us to create the best conditions for achieving everyone’s goals. It’s not the first time I’ve collaborated with Liceo Poerio – further furore – and each time I did the endorsement of the great work done to provide quality training and solid foundations for the future of the boys. Today’s delegation is a representative of the institute with whom we collaborated on a project dedicated to the meaning of European sentiment.
At the end of the session, students had the opportunity to meet with Parliament officials and MEPs Furore to address issues that are important for the future of the Union and concern the functioning of European institutions.
“I thank the Honorable Furore for the opportunity he gave to Liceo Poerio and his students. – said the teacher Enza Maria Caldarella – The initiative allowed children to visit a prestigious place such as the European Parliament, to learn more about its history and to hear the words of the President of the Draghi Council, who was visiting here today. Bringing the children to Strasbourg means experiencing first-hand what the European Union is and experiencing the blue flag and the yellow stars. A heartfelt thank you to Hon. Furore to pay a lot of attention to our territory and its young people with this project. The future is in their hands. “
