Città di Castello, July 11, 2022 – Strengthens support for students with the specific disorder of dyslexia. This is the subject of a two-day course in the Villa Montesca of the Hallgarten-Franchetti Foundation with the support of the Erasmus Plus program and the Dyscourse Dyslexia Online Courses project funded by the National Agency of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. It was visited by university professors, high school teachers and experts, northern Macedonians, Hungarians and Latvians.
An opportunity to get to know and digest the Italian approach on the subject of the specific disorder of dyslexia. Virginia Marconi, a researcher at the Foundation, opened the works and presented a platform for teachers, created in the project by a scientific committee coordinated by experts from different countries of the Villa Montesca Foundation. The platform will also be available in Italian and free of charge for all teachers and can be used by going to the Foundation’s website www.montesca.eu.
Prof. Laura Arcangeli and Moira Sannipoli from the University of Perugia have been contributing as experts these days, supporting the theme of the pedagogical approach for boys and girls with this disorder. A specific study on dyslexia and foreign languages was conducted by prof. Eva Birzniece, Guaranteed by the Lithuanian Dyslexia Association. The Hungarian therapist Szűcs Antal Mór, from the University of Budapest, spoke about the different methods used in Eastern European countries and the work was concluded by the testimony of Paola Antonelli, neuropsychiatrist, head of Altotevere USL Umbria 1 and Isabella Saffini , Language Therapist USL Umbria 1.
