Ferraris High School in Varese joins the Erasmus + program with a visit to a school in Malaga


The Ferraris Scientific High School in Varese hosted, from 2nd to 5th April, the Director and two teaching staff of the “Eduardo Janeiro” Institute of Fuengirola, Malaga.

Director Mònica Montaño, English teachers and Erasmus + Manager Ana M in Quijano and mathematician Andrès Furones visited Varese Lycée for a “Job ShadowingIn the Erasmus + program, funded by the European Union and the Spanish National Agency. The guests had the opportunity to visit Ferraris, take part in some lessons and talk to the teachers and manager Marco Zago about the main specialties of those to discuss two school systems.

There were some areas of interest for the Spanish delegation: Teaching STEM subjects, CLIL methodology, debate, use of technologies and innovative teaching, inclusion, organization, management and administration of the administrative-accounting action of the school institution.

For this reason, the Spanish guests attended three lessons over the course of three days, talking with the teachers and some students directly involved in the activities related to their areas of interest, and with the teacher, his staff and the Prof Paola Guidali School lecturer for the Erasmus + project

The visit of Spanish colleagues is one of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus + program to schools from all over Europe that Ferraris wanted to reach out to, including Restart internationalization activities and projects, partially blocked in the last two years due to the pandemic.

From the next school year onwards, and for the entire duration of the Erasmus + 2021-2027 program, Ferraris students and teachers can experience individual or small group mobilityvisits training and vocational refresher courses abroad, visits European schools and establishes real and virtual collaborations with students and teachers from across the European Union.
