PROCIDA – The director of the Higher Institute “F. Caracciolo – G. da Procida “prof.ssa Maria Saletta Longobardo formalized the opening of registrations for the editions for the school year 2022/23 of the” training course for the achievement of managerial level skills for deck Officers and machines “As required by DD n.1365 of December 4, 2013 and subsequent amendments.
Candidates to be admitted to the course must meet the following requirements at the time of the call:
- be a citizen of one of the states of the European Union;
- be in possession of the qualification certificate as an officer
The course provides the knowledge necessary to meet the skills specified in the STCW Code 78/95 and reported in section A-II/2, as well as the IMO 7.01 course model and is divided into the following functions as per Annex A of DD n. 1365 of December 4, 2013, amended by DECREE February 7, 2018. Revision of Annexes A and B of the Decree of May 4, 2017, concerning: “Update of the training programs for the achievement of the skills of the management level for deck- and motor officers referred to in the executive decree of December 4, 2013”. For the school year 2022/23, the following editions with relative start and end dates are planned:
- Covered Edition – Launched 09/28/2022 with the help of the training book
- Machines Edition – Start 28/09/2022 with the help of the training book
The start of the individual editions of the courses, apart from any variations due to force majeure, will in any case only take place when the minimum number of participants is reached (10 regularly enrolled and current with payments).
The courses are usually held from Monday to Friday, for eight hours a day from 8:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays for five hours a day from 08:00 to 13:00. The final schedule will be published on the website of the institute.
During the course, changes to the calendar and timetable may be introduced for any educational needs or organizational needs.
Participation in the course is compulsory and a number of absences are not allowed, even if for justified reasons, more than 10% of the total hours of the course and 10% of the hours of each individual module. Therefore, participants must attend at least 90% of the total number of hours, otherwise they will not be admitted to the final exam.
Applications for admission to the 2022/2023 editions of the course must
completed according to the facsimile prepared and attached to the notice and accompanied, under penalty of inadmissibility, by a legible and front-back photocopy of a valid document, front-back photocopy of the tax code or health card, front-back photocopy of the IMO certificate of registration and qualification of the officer / first officer / commander, photocopy of the navigation book (first and last page certifying the last embarkation or discharge, which is the embarkation / disembarkation on a ship with a foreign flag flies, signed by the flag consulate and approved by the prefecture, or discharge quantity certified embarkation / disembarkation on a ship with a foreign flag with a foreign navigation book, training notebook on board (first page with ship stamp and signature of the captain). When registering, the application must be accompanied by all required documents.
The payment of the first installment of €300.00 must be made by 15/09/2022 through the PAGO PA application at the invitation of the school secretariat. If the first payment is not paid, there will be automatic exclusion from the course. The subsequent payment of the withheld amount must be made no later than October 15, 2022.
