On the occasion of the centenary of the artist’s birth, the teaching staff of the innovative school library “Pier Paolo Pasolini” of the IISS “Garrone” organizes a week of events entitled Where the clouds go. 100 Years of Pier Paolo Pasolini.

After the exciting week of the “WANNÀ – FESTIVAL DELLA POLITICA GIOVANE”, which from 22 to 25 February students and teachers in nationality workshops and meetings for the public on the topics of the policy of the future, the challenges and the Dreams of young people engaged. Generations, the “Garrone” continued his commitment to educate his students in the critical spirit and awareness of the present through the rediscovery of Pasolini’s figure.

The work of the intellectual is the starting point for profound reflections for the teachers and students of the higher education institution. The way Pasolini described the youth of the time, including the contradictions and problems of our time, allows us to meditate on the importance of the education and civic education of the new generations.

In the present moment, so full of questions and fears, recalling the critical spirit that inspires Pasolini’s work, means inviting students to ask for experienced security, not to be intimidated by force and, finally, to personally seek without mediation to expose to truth. In this sense, Pasolini was a “philosopher” who, with the help of the tools that were given to him by the culture of his time and to draw from the millennial heirs of Western culture, was able to give his contemporaries the multiple and complex development of understand and transmit social, political understanding. and economically.
