34 people signed up for the new fashion trend

SCHOOL The school year, which opens next September, should be that of total normality and, as usual, enrollments at the Braidese institutes have been closed in recent weeks.

In this year 2022, the data have fluctuated. A slight decrease was recorded at the Salesian Institute: out of a total of five courses (industrial mechanics, automotive, thermohydraulics, hairdresser and bakery), adhesions were 75, down about 15 percent compared to last year (when they were in their 90s). The registrations are divided as follows: 18 students for industrial mechanics, 22 for car mechanics, 10 for plumbing and heating, 15 for hairdresser and 10 for the bakery course.

A numerical decline that reflects the trend of recent years: The profiles of skilled workers are actually declining, and this is reflected in the difficulty of finding resources for companies. Salesian Cfp Director Valter Manzone commented: “The enrollment for the next formative year reduces the demographic decline of the reference year (born in 2008), which is inevitably reflected in the slightly reduced numbers we have just received. We are confident that the numbers will increase even more, because vocational training also has, among its various purposes, the opportunity to welcome young people who, through a mistake of orientation, may have made a path that has not been successful and who want to change. It is very important for young people to know that solid vocational training immediately opens the door to the world of work. “

The decline in births in 2008 was confirmed by Francesca Scarfì; the teacher of the Lycée Giolitti-Gandino reported, however, that despite the decrease the number of students enrolled in the high school increases: in the four courses (classical, scientific, linguistic and human sciences) the total number of enrollments in the first year there are 200 new students, which allows the nine sections to be re-confirmed.

Growth trend also at Velso Mucci Professional Institute: there are 134 new enrollments, 18 more than in 2021; of these, 62 are registered in the hotel sector, 40 in the advertising graphic arts, 32 in the fashion sector; the latter consists of the novelty of the year: it will be active with two first classes. Satisfaction was expressed by teacher Gianluca Moretti: “In a period in which it is difficult to maintain standards of professional institutions, Bra confirms a figure that is better than the national average of 12 percent: we are in fact about 20 percent of the Total registrations “.

Finally, the Guala Institute did not want to disclose the data.
